I took the boys to Hobby Lobby, which is a super sized craft store similar to Michaels. I hadn’t planned on going there but I drove right by it on the way home from the dentist. My kids usually enjoy arts and crafts so they really had a great time. Although we have a good selection of art supplies such as paint, markers, glue, and stickers, Hobby Lobby had a lot of pre-made kits with all the supplies included to produce the finished craft. I purchased a lacing kit for my youngest son which are great for developing fine motor skills to improving his writing skills. My oldest son bought some wooden craft sets. He was especially interested in the larger airplane models so I will keep those in mind for his birthday. Many of the craft kits were on clearance and we got several of those to use during the year. Make sure if you take a trip to a larger craft supply store that you go on line and look for any coupons.
